چکیده

(Mn, Co)3O4 spinel is widely used to protect the metallic interconnect of solid oxide fuel cells while it suffers deoxidization during preparation by plasma spray. This work was proposed study effect spray parameters on microstructure and conductivity coatings. In this work, coatings were prepared atmospheric The heated up 700 °C held for 15 h allow evolution. composition characterized scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) photoelectron spectrum (XPS). results show that all evidently densified in two hours heating measured conductivities continuously evolved. phase found contributed more evolutions than densification. conversion CoO MnCo2O4 observed thus endowed a 40 S/cm. A high fraction Co3+ peaks, amount Mn2+ low content Co2+ jointly showed occupied B site AB2O4 stood at site, indicating stoichiometric MnCo2O4. Annealing twins detected TEM EBSD but only limited contribution evolution considered. Finally, we suggest flowrate gas input energy prepare with designed conductivity.

Effect of Microstructure on the Thermal Conductivity of Plasma Sprayed Y2O3 Stabilized Zirconia (8 %YSZ)

In this paper, the effect of microstructure on the thermal conductivity of plasma-sprayed Y2O3 stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) is investigated. Nine freestanding samples deposited on aluminum-base superalloy are studied. Cross-section morphology such as pores, cracks, m-phase content, grain boundary density of the coated samples are examined by scanning electron microscopy...

Thermal Conductivity Analysis and Lifetime Testing of Suspension Plasma-Sprayed Thermal Barrier Coatings

Suspension plasma spraying (SPS) has become an interesting method for the production of thermal barrier coatings for gas turbine components. The development of the SPS process has led to structures with segmented vertical cracks or column-like structures that can imitate strain-tolerant air plasma spraying (APS) or electron beam physical vapor deposition (EB-PVD) coatings. Additionally, SPS coa...

Characterization of the Microstructure and Electrical Conductivity of Plasma-Sprayed La_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}CoO_{3} Coating

Lanthanum strontium cobalt oxide (LSCO) has been employed as cathode and intercollector materials for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). In the present study, the La0:5Sr0:5CoO3 layer was deposited by atmospheric plasma spray (APS). The effect of heat treatment on microstructure and electrical conductivity of the LSCO deposits was examined. The electrical conductivity of the deposits along the lam...
